SUMMARY:2020 ANNUAL SHORT COURSE TOURNAMENT
DESCRIPTION:The Martinsville Golf Club will be hosting the annual Short Course Tournament\non Sunday, October 25th. This event is a Par-3 course set up on\nthe front nine with each hole playing between 50 and 80 yards. The teeing areas\nwill be played from driving range mats. This is a 2-person, pick your partner event\nwith a minimum team handicap of 10. The event will be 27 holes and each nine\ntakes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. The three formats will be scramble, 1 best ball, and\nShamble. You will only be allowed to use 1 club and a putter (detailed yardages\nwill be given beforehand). The cost is $75 per player. $25 for green fees & cart and $50 for prize\nfund & skins. The $50 must be paid in CASH. We’ll pay out each for format and the overall total, plus\nskins in each format. If there are no skins in one format, it will be split evenly\nbetween the other formats. If there no skins at all, it will be added to the pots equally.\n\nThis is always a fun event. We can accommodate 40 players or 20\nteams. We’ll take alternates for all over 20 teams. Day of, we’ll collect a Hole-In-One pot for $10 a player. The pot will be split between all who make an ace. If no one\nhits one, we’ll take all the players who get in the hole in one pot, and do a Closest-to- the-Pin on the 9th hole for the entire pot.\n\nTo sign up a team, please call the Pro Shop 765-342-4336.\n
